This is a sculpture of a winged house standing on a bird's foot. This fellow's face is removable and reversible so that it can "blink" between closed and open eyes. Behind its face, it is hollow, great for storing tiny objects.
The glaze on this fellow went the worst I have ever glazed anything. This sculpture has totally fused to the clay "cookie" that's supposed to keep glaze drips from the kiln floor. My dad and I cut the cookie into the shape of the sculpture's foot with a tile saw. I think the cross section is kind of interesting.
Please note the 4"/~10cm ruler for scale in the last photo. Shipping is $11 within the US because I cannot fit them in a padded envelope.
